Vallejo Sister City Association Hosts Annual Japanese Tea Gathering

On Sunday, April 7, 2024, the Vallejo Sister City Association (VSCA) and Vallejo Sister City Commission warmly welcomed attendees to the Annual Japanese Tea Gathering. Held in celebration of the enduring bond between Vallejo and its sister city, Akashi, Japan, the event marked another milestone in the VSCA’s commitment to fostering global connections and promoting peace through mutual respect, understanding, and cooperation.

Since its inception in 1956, the VSCA has been dedicated to building bridges across cultures and continents, embodying the spirit of friendship and collaboration. The Annual Japanese Tea Gathering stands as a testament to this mission, offering a serene and culturally enriching experience for participants.

The event provided a platform for attendees to immerse themselves in Japanese culture, featuring traditional tea ceremonies, and and opportunity for guests to learn more about tea and the tea ceremony. Guests had the opportunity to engage with representatives from the Hagiwara Sojin Tea Group.
