Building Bridges: Vallejo Sister City Kicks Off Cultural Exchange in Jincheon, South Korea

Jincheon, South Korea – [October 4, 2024] – A delegation from Vallejo Sister City Association, which included Grandmaster William Kim, Yolanda Kim, Pelton Stewart and Pamela Pitts-Stewart has officially begun its cultural exchange mission in Jincheon, South Korea. This initiative aims to strengthen international ties and explore new opportunities for collaboration, particularly in the field of education.

The delegation’s first day in Jincheon commenced with a formal courtesy visit to Mayor Song, who extended a warm welcome and expressed enthusiasm for the growing partnership between Jincheon and our organization. Following the visit, a welcoming luncheon was held, bringing together local officials, community leaders, and scholars for informal discussions on potential collaborative efforts.

A key event of the day was a roundtable discussion focused on scholarship initiatives. Delegates and local leaders exchanged ideas on expanding educational access for underserved communities, aligning with the organization’s mission to promote global education and development.
