VSCA Celebrating International Women’s Day 2026: Inspiring Voices, Empowering Communities

In celebration of International Women’s Day 2026, the Vallejo Sister City Association proudly invites the community to join us for an inspiring gathering that honors the achievements, leadership, and resilience of women across cultures and generations. Rooted in our mission — to promote peace through mutual respect, understanding, and cooperation, one individual, one community at a time — this special event highlights the powerful role women play in advancing global understanding and community-building.

This year’s celebration will feature a special musical performance by internationally acclaimed koto artist Yukiko Matsuyama, whose work blends the traditional Japanese koto with contemporary global sounds to create a dynamic cross-cultural musical experience. Known for her innovative collaborations and Grammy-recognized work with the Paul Winter Consort, Matsuyama’s performances celebrate the fusion of tradition and modern musical expression while fostering connection across cultures.
